I built this site by just talking to it
A short note on rebuilding this portfolio with Claude, and how the hard part has quietly moved somewhere else.

I didn't plan to write this one. But building this site felt different enough that it's worth a note.
Most of what you're looking at came out of plain sentences. "get rid of the hero image." "make it as minimal as possible." "make the spider a real spider, red and blue." That's close to what I actually typed. The page rebuilt itself around each one.
What got me isn't that it writes code. It's that it does the boring parts properly. The tests. The reduced motion handling. At one point my scroll snapping just refused to work, and it turned out overflow-x: hidden on the root was silently killing it — that's an evening I didn't have to lose.
So the hard part moved. It's not "how do I build this" anymore. It's "what do I actually want?" Turns out I'm worse at that question.
A few years back this site would have taken me a couple of weekends. This time it was an evening of typing sentences and looking at screenshots.
Still my taste. Still my calls. Just a lot less typing.
